Tucked away near Lake Eola, Ootoya is a sushi lounge offering great Japanese cuisine. Seating inside is limited and that's actually a good thing. The inside feels very private making it a great spot for a date. The sushi bar seats are probably the most entertaining place to sit down as the chefs are making rolls right in front of you. Outdoor seating is also available.
There are plenty of food and drinks options on their Happy Hour menu. Drinks include cocktails, beer, wine, and sake. Food includes $6 and $8 appetizers as well as plenty of sushi rolls where you can get 3 of them for $18. Happy Hour is also offered all day on Monday and from 12:30-6:30PM on weekends. Service was great. From our waitress to the sushi chef, the whole staff was very friendly. We sat at the sushi bar and watched all our rolls be made before our eyes. Everything was made quickly and tasted absolutely delicious. The sushi had plenty of fish and was fresh. Gyoza and seaweed salad were great starters as well.
