THE HAPPY HOUR REVIEW

The Wildflower

Cocktail Bar

the Place

The Wildflower is Cocktail Bar tucked away in Baldwin Park. It is conjoined with Colibri but has its own section of the building and provides a much different vibe. Inside, there is plenty of seating and bartender who are usually very busy with cocktail orders. Sitting at the bar allows you to see the drinks be made but a seating elsewhere gives you a nice intimate feeling ideal for a date or Happy Hour drinks. The decor inside makes you feel like you're in the set of a sitcom, with different wallpapers on the walls as well as items throughout. They also offer seating and since it's only steps away from Lake Baldwin, there is a certain calming atmosphere that's much appreciated. Definitely a great spot for Happy Hour, whether that's after work or with a date!

the Happy Hour

Thankfully, the Happy Hour menu is as straight-forward as it gets, and includes nearly everything in the menu (excludes beer). From Tuesday thru Friday, you can enjoy any of the cocktails for $8, wine for $6, $3 High Noons, and a select bite at a discounted price as well.

The Wildflower - Little Rock Star

Little Rock Star

Whiskey, Gentian Amaro, Orgeat, Angostura Bitters, and Xocolatl Mole Bitters

This is probably one of the easiest whiskey drinks to go down. It's smooth, and well-refined with no bite. The classic taste is still there but this cocktail is the perfect balance.

Gin, Manzanilla Sherry, Lemon, Pineapple-Honey Syrup, and Prosecco

A refreshing balance of fizziness and acidity with a nice garnish.

Saturn

Gin, Velvet Falernum, Passion Fruit, Lime, and Orgeat

This cocktail perfectly balances the herbal notes from the gin and the more tropical flavors from the passionfruit. The lime rounds it off to send it home. The sweetness and acidity are perfect. A no-brainer.

The Wildflower - Mia’s World

Mia's World

Vodka, Lillet Rose, Strawberry, White Peach Syrup, Lemon, and Prosecco

If tropical drinks are your thing, then Mia's World should be your go-to when at The Wildflower. It's on the stronger side, but without compromising any of the flavors. It has a nice fizziness from the Prosecco, and while it's hard to point out the ingredients individually, it is a balanced drink that's light and refreshing and perfect for a Summer evening.
